FrRN Trustees and staff bid a collective farewell to Doreen Finneron at their meeting in July 2011 and paid tribute to Doreen's many years of highly effective leadership that has built the charity's reputation across the UK as an important player in the social action arena.

Doreen leaves behind a solid foundation for the next phase of FbRN's development. New appointments to cover both Doreen's and Val's retirement will happen in the Autumn. Until then interim arrangements are in place to keep things flowing smoothly.

We wish Doreen well and leave the last words to her:

"It has been a great privilege and a joy to work with the Trustees and people on the FbRN network to take the ideas and aspirations we had in 2002 and turn them into reality. Practitioners of faith based community development and social action said that they needed to share good practice and link with policy makers, so that was what we aimed to provide. I hope to still be able to engage with these ideas and issues in my retirement. Thank you for the support and encouragement over the years.

With best wishes to FbRN for the future,

Doreen
