FbRN involved in Good Governance Code

'Good Governance - A Code for the voluntary and community sector: smaller organisations version' is designed to complement an already published Good Governance Code for the Voluntary and Community Sector. The new publication  povides a framework for smaller organisations with limited resources to govern in a way that is appropriate to their size. It is accompanied by a 7 page jargon buster which is a stand-alone tool explaining some of the more legalistic jargon linked linked to governance.

FbRN's Jane Winter was one of the representatives on the Working Group which did the initial work on the publication. Others involved included : the Small Charities Coalition, Richmond Upon Thames Council, Community Sector Coalition and Community Matters.

The 25 page Code is published by ACEVO, the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (www.acevo.org.uk). It is free to download (along with the previous publication, and summaries) from : www.goodgovernancecode.org.uk.
